It's nice to see a hold that acts more like rock. They are pretty big. I'm currently playing with them as handholds on a slab setup. They are challenging that way. For a foothold, I'd call them beginner level. They have lots of texture and work well for just working as an edge on the toe placement.
These holds are awesome! They look nice on my wall and resemble the look and feel of rock. They are very versatile because you can rotate them and each time you'll get a new hold! There are some that can be rotated to be smear feet, crimps, and even edge slopers.
Each foothold can be rotated a bunch of different ways depending on whether you want an in-cut edge, slopey edge, flat edge, etc. Lots of great options here! They're well textured, colorful, and well suited for a wide range of problem sets.
I love that the texture is so different depending on how you decide to place the hold. I definitely use them as solid feet since they are medium sized (around 3 inches) on my 12ft, 25 degree wall. I haven’t tried them as a crimp, but I feel like my walls too steep for that. A good set to have, especially if you want a few feet in one color for a route you're mapping out. I am super partial to the real look and feel of my holds, so this fits the bill.
Really interesting, helpful for making vertical walls more challenging
My six year old daughter has gotten way too good at climbing quickly, so I needed something to make my vertical wall harder. These are perfect, and excellent value for the money. Also cool how much they change as you rotate them.
